The A-B Tech Small Business Center and Entrepreneurial Institute will be presenting a variety of entrepreneurial focused events for A-B Tech students, faculty, staff, as well as open to the community.

Counseling, Services, Resources, and Incubation
The Small Business Center provides free one-to-one counseling for business owners or prospective owners to assist them in getting started or with a specific area of concern. Counseling can cover a variety of topics ranging from licensing and marketing to patents and trademarks. We also offer a variety of resources and services to help businesses start and grow, including business incubation.

Workshops, Seminars, Expos and Camps
Workshops, seminars, expos and camps are sponsored by the Center to assist the business entrepreneur with continuing education in the areas of management and supervision, communications, taxes and the "how tos" of operating a business, as well as other topics.
Minority Enterprise Development Week
Every year, a week long series of events is held in Western North Carolina in honor of Minority Enterprise Development Week. The mission is to provide the best leadership and direction for the promotion, establishment and development of minority businesses in Western North Carolina through education, communication and advocacy.

Young Entrepreneurial Scholars (YES!) Camps
A week long summer day camp for rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors as well as a new middle school academy is being offered this summer at our A-B Tech Enka Site. Visit link for program dates.
Small Business Jump Start Day
The 2011 Small Business Jump Start Day happened on April 26 and was a great success. It is a free annual event in which current and potential business owners can learn more about the many resources available to small businesses in our community. We look forward to seeing you next year! The event
will be held April 26, 2012.
