A-B Tech Foundation
The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, and all donations to the Foundation are tax deductible as allowed by law. At the end of fiscal year 2008-2009, the Foundation had assets totaling over $6 million. In FY 2009-20010, the Foundation has awarded 227 scholarships, totaling $197,127.

Mission
The mission of the Foundation is to support Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College in all of its programs and activities to ensure that quality educational opportunities are available to its students, faculty and staff.
Goals
- Scholarships: Tuition has increased steadily over the past five years, making the need for financial assistance greater.
- Technology: Students, faculty and staff must have access to the industry standard technology and equipment to continue providing quality training.
- Professional Development: Professional development activities enhance our instructors’ teaching skills by providing current information on industry trends.
- Renovation and Expansion: Our curriculum enrollment has increased 24% since 2001, making it necessary to build new facilities and to renovate others to state-of-the-art condition.
