Nationally-recognized artists Kenn Kotara, John Dickson and Josephine Burgwyn Pratt will be featured at A-B Tech’s Summer Visiting Artist Workshop series for 2012. Kotara is a painter, sculptor, installation artist, graphic designer, printmaker and teacher. Dickson specializes in landscape photography and Pratt is a sculptor, who works in bronze and stoneware.

The series, sponsored by A-B Tech’s Visual and Performing Art Department and the College’s Foundation, brings regional professional artists to the A-B Tech campus for a multi-session class. The courses are for adults or children under 18 with prior approval.

Summer 2011 participants enjoyed workshops taught by watercolorist Ann Vasilik and photographer Tim Barnwell. The inaugural workshop series made it possible to create two new scholarships for students seeking degrees in the Art and Drama Departments for the 2012-2013 academic year.
