Linking to Library Database Articles/Resources in Your Moodle Course Page
You can link to full text articles/resources from library databases on your Moodle course page. Do NOT, however, simply cut and paste the URL from the web browser while you are looking at an article. It is usually a session specific URL and will expire in a few hours or days.
Click here for step-by-step instructions for creating durable links on your Moodle course page to the library's most popular databases. Contact Martha Dickens at Holly Library, (mdickens@abtech.edu; 828-254-1921, x7302) or Instructional Support & Online Learning at instructionalsupport@abtech.edu (828-254-1921, x7300) if you have questions or need assistance with this process. We will be glad to help you.

Copyright Information
This is a good site to explore if you have questions about copyright issues: Copyright Clearance Center: Academic Section. For a good introduction try out their Campus Guide to Copyright Compliance.
Another site with an interactive tutorial on copyright compliance specifically for media is Baruch College's Interactive Guide to Using Copyrighted Media. (You may use the Copyright Metro tool even if you are not a Baruch College instructor.)
Know your Copyrights Chart from the Association of Research Libraries. A pdf brochure with more in-depth information is also available from this organization.
Faculty Resources Collection
Holly Library has a small Faculty Resources Collection containing books on topics in higher education such as student learning, assessment, technology, and classroom skills. The collection is located on the main floor at the end of the North Carolina Collection. Just ask at the circulation desk and we will be glad to show you where you can find this collection.
