Math and English Tutoring Labs

The tutoring labs are found in the Ferguson building on the A-B Tech main campus. The Math Lab is in Ferguson 118 and the English Lab is in Ferguson 114. If the school is closed for students, the labs are closed.

You are eligible to use a tutoring lab if you are enrolled in a A-B Tech course and you have a signed referral from your instructor indicating that you need tutoring in order to be successful in the indicated course. When you come to the lab, please see an instructor for enrollment and use instructions.

The labs are drop-in open labs (no appointments). We will work with you as soon as we can after you have indicated that you are ready with your questions. We frequently work with more than one student at a time, and you will be expected to do some independent work to demonstrate understanding while we address another student’s question.

We will tutor you, referring to the skills exercises as designated by your instructor for our use or to reference materials found in the labs. We will answer questions about material which has already been checked by your instructor.

We will not work on YOUR homework or lab assignments.

Tutoring labs are for tutoring. If you need a quiet place to complete homework assignments, the library or an empty classroom is available.
