Filling out the essay questions helps the scholarship selection committee decide which applicants best meet the eligibility requirements for each scholarship. 

Here are examples of a well written vs. a poorly written essay.

The most important things to remember when completing the essay questions are:

• Respond in complete sentences.
• Prepare your answers in Word and use spell check.
• Have a teacher or friend proof read your answers before you post them.
• Cut and paste your answers from a Word document into the appropriate section.
• Answer each question and do not leave the boxes blanks.
• You may type up to 7,500 characters in each box, but remember, it’s the quality, not the length that counts.
